Matchmaking Mission to France

Business New Brunswick (BNB) and Intergovernmental Affairs (IGA) are organizing a matchmaking mission of New Brunswick building products companies to France in the regions of Vienne (Poitou-Charentes Regions) and Paris. It will begin on October 15 and end on October 22, 2010 for industry related to building products. This mission is in association with Canada Mortgage & Housing Corporation International (CMHC) and Foreign Affairs & International Trade Canada (DFAIT).
The mission will start at Salon Maison Bois (www.salon-maison-bois.com) the building and housing products trade fair in, Anger, France on Oct 17. The objectives for attending the show are to identify competition and what are the market dynamics for wood framed homes in France.
Then to the Region of Vienne for 3 days of scheduled meetings with potential industry partners to take place Oct 18 to 20. Meeting with New Brunswick companies and French companies based on the profiles and requirements of each company. One of the main objectives in the Vienne region is identifying partners in the transfer of technology and products in developments of wood framed single and multi unit homes. Opportunities also exist in identifying distribution channels for wood pellets and briquettes. The Paris activity will be scheduled Networking/Matchmaking meetings with potential partners in the region of Paris on Oct 21.
